DHT is known to cause the prostate to shrink and the prostate to lose its hair function. This reduces the size of the prostate and makes it easier for hair loss to take place. This reduces the side effects from Finasteride as it is taken between once a month. This is just a few symptoms and symptoms a patient can experience when taking this medicine, it works very well and the side effects are minimal. The only complaint about this medicine is that the medicine may not be effective if you are taking it continuously for hair loss. This is a side effect - it is very rare for patients taking Finasteride to experience any of these side effects - however if it is suspected to be, then there will be a need to try and see if this side effect is present. The tablets are taken once a day, with or without food. Propecia is a very effective treatment for hair loss. It works by reducing the amount of DHT - the hormone that causes hair loss. I take 1 tablet per day (or as prescribed) of finasteride. The effectiveness of this treatment is also reduced by its 5alpha reductase inhibitor properties. Each tablet of finasteride is about 600-1000 mg. This may be slightly higher as the tablets are taken once a day. Patients must take the tablets on an empty stomach for 5 days and must take the tablets with a meal. It is important to take the tablets on an empty stomach as it passes through the body more effectively than with a reduced dose of finasteride. Patients must also take the tablets on a full stomach, with or without a meal to minimize the risk of causing a side effect or safety margin problem. The tablet dosage must be continued with 1 tablet per day, not changing it at any one time.
